HAha, it tis i, I've had an okay week, saw Talagada Nights, it was ok, pretty funny, very crude, a rent if you have to see it...over all 3/10. "What do I do with my hands?" "Just leave them down here." "Oh, okay." *raises hands back up*
I saw Filled X Stream last night, they rocked, and Shay shared an awesome word, that i wasn't too surprised to hear...hmmm
i'm back once again... with another word from when the conference i went to a few weeks back. This goes back to the story of Mary annointing Jesus' feet, in John 12. Looking at this story this is Mary, sister of Martha. Which is only found in John, all the other annoiting story have Madgelene annoiting His head.
In this story there's three things that she does or is doing.
1. Her house is a place of worship. Seeing that Martha is serving, we can assume that this is her sister Mary. Mary has always loved being at the feet of Jesus, and her worship was always to listen, the sixth selah, silence.
2. She was a host of many, worshipper of One. She knows how to serve others, and has. But there comes a time when you must forsake others to worship the one, regardless of the costs. Here we see her wiping with her hair. Her hair represents her glory, she lays down her glory, to glorify the One.
3. She not only exsposed her heart, but that of those around her. By doing the act of worship, she shows that her hearts desire is to worship Jesus, and also that of a certain man (Judas), all that was on his mind was money.
NOW APPLY IT!!!
1. Live a life that worships God, in the quiet place and in public.
2. Be able and willing to serve others, but never forget that you only worship One.
3. In worship, your heart is shown, whether you know it or not. Be it good or not, your true intensions are made known before all.
